timerkit (“the app”) is a workout interval timer for iPhone, made by The Mighty Cat (“we”, “us”). We built timerkit to keep time — not to collect data. This policy explains the little that is involved, both in the app and on this website. Questions? Email support@themightycat.com.
The short version
- The app runs entirely on your device. We don’t have servers that see your timers or workouts.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs that profile you.
- The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to send us through the support form on this website.
The app
Your saved timers and settings — names, colors, intervals, rounds, and narration preferences — are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData). This information is never collected, transmitted to us, or shared with anyone.
The spoken 3-2-1 countdown and round announcements are produced by Apple’s on-device speech synthesis. No audio is recorded, and nothing is sent off the device. timerkit does not request your location, contacts, microphone, camera, or health data, and it makes no network connections of its own.
This website
When you use the support form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so we can read your request and reply to you. These messages are stored securely on our server and are used only to provide support. We do not sell them, share them, or use them for marketing.
Our server may also keep ordinary technical information alongside a support request (such as your browser’s user-agent string) to help us reproduce issues. The site itself sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites.
How long we keep support messages
We retain support messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any reasonable follow-up. You can ask us to delete your message and contact details at any time by emailing support@themightycat.com, and we’ll remove them.
Your choices and rights
Because the app holds your data on your device, you’re always in control: deleting a timer removes it, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. For anything you’ve sent us through the support form, you can request a copy or deletion by email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — we’re happy to honor them.
Children
timerkit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app or website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
